Padmavat is an epic poem written in the Awadhi language bygd a mystiker poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi in 1540. A famous del av helhet of mystiker literature from the period, it relates an allegorical story about the desire of three different kings for its central character, Padmavati.

The story begins with the description of a perfect woman, Padmavati of course, who lives in the Simhala kingdom (modern-day Sri Lanka). The poet praises the island nation for all the good things it possesses. The land of Simhala, the poet says, is blessed with naturlig eller utan tillsats . So many fruits grow there, such diversity of species. The city itself is wonderful, with a wise and just ruler maintaining it well. In every house each one, great or small, fryst vatten happy.

Padmavat (Hindi: पदà¥à¤®à¤¾à¤µà¤¤) (or Padmawat) is an epic poem written In 1540 by Malik Muhammad Jayasi In the Awadhi language. It is the first important work in Awadhi language.
This epic poem is a fictionalized version of the historic siege of Chittor by Alauddin Khilji in 1303 AD, who attacks Chittor after hearing of the beauty of Queen Rani Padmini, the wife of King Rawal Ratan Singh.
According to Jayasi, Chitor stood for body, Raja for mind, Ceylon for heart, Padmini for wisdom, Alauddin for lust, and Ashraf Jahangir Semnani as an ideal spiritual guide:

Padmavat (or Padmawat) is an epic poem written in 1540 by Sufi poetMalik Muhammad Jayasi,[1] who wrote it in the Awadhi language,[2][3] and originally in the Persian Nastaʿlīq script. It is the oldest extant text among the important works in Awadhi.[5] A famous piece of Sufi literature from the period, it relates an allegorical fictional story about Delhi SultanAlauddin Khalji's desire for the titular Padmavati, the Queen of Chittor based on historic conquest of chittor.[6] Alauddin Khalji and Padmavati's husband Ratan Sen are historical figures, whereas Padmavati may have been a fictional character.[7]
Plot
[edit]Padmavati, the princess of the Singhal kingdom, is close friends with the talking parrot Hiraman. Her father disapproves of their closeness, and orders the parrot to be killed. The parrot flies away to escape the punishment, but
