I'm an author, journalist and historian of San Francisco. My latest book with artist Paul Madonna, published on October 20, 2020 by Bloomsbury, is Spirits of San Francisco: Voyages Through the Unknown City. It features 16 of Paul’s superb drawings of the wildly eclectic sites that we chose tillsammans and that I write about.
