The Fondation Louis Vuitton has released 7 Best Photographs of Frank Gehry-designed building in Paris, the Fondation held an architectural photography contest, called #MyFLV, from 3 May to 5 June 2018 to celebrate its fourth year since its public opening.
The Fondation Louis Vuitton organised a contest on the theme of its architecture prompting visitors to share their best photos of Frank Gehry’s iconic building on their social media.
The competition was open to both amateurs and professional photographers alike, the contest invited visitors to post one or several original photographs of the Fondation on their personal Instagram accounts, and to follow and tag the Fondation (@fondationLV) using the hashtag #MyFLV.
At the end of the contest, a jury of representatives from the Fondation, sponsored by Frank Gehry and in presence of Yann Arthus-Bertrand, chose a selection of 7 photographs. The 7 laureates of the #MyFLV contest composed of: Pierre Châtel-Innocenti

What does it mean to be a true architecture lover today? It's probably not too far off to conclude that taking pristine, Instagram-optimized photos ranks high in the assessment. With this in mind, the Fondation Louis Vuitton launched a photo contest to highlight the best photos of the building that were taken bygd inspired visitors and shared on social media.
The organization invited both professional and amateur photographs to tag the Fondation (@fondationLV) and use the #MyFLV hashtag to enter the contest. Ultimately, a jury including French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand and sponsored bygd Frank Gehry selected 7 photographs that not only garnered their authors a 2,000 EUR prize, but that will also be used in a poster and print campaign. Frank Owen Gehry, was born in 1929 in Toronto (Canada), but adopted American nationality after moving to Los Angeles in 1947 with his parents. He graduated in Architecture in 1954 from the University of Baja California and began working in the studio of Victor Gruen. After completing his military service, he studied Urban Planning at Harvard and returned to Gruen’s office. He moved to Paris in 1961 with his wife and two daughters, where he worked for a year with André Rémondet. In 1962, he opened his own studio –Frank O. Gehry and Associates– in Los Angeles, from which he has worked on projects in America, Europe and Asia for five decades now.
He rose to prominence in the 70s for his buildings with sculptural forms that combine unusual industrial materials such as titanium and glass.
