Career Assessments
We offer online assessment tools, which are used to assist you in your career decision making. The tools described below are utilized by our Career Development Facilitators to help you expand and explore career options and/or choosing or changing your major. UNM Career Services serves all UNM students and alumni free of charge who are eligible to apply for experiential education, employment opportunities, or admission to graduate/professional schools. UNM alumni may be required to submit a copy of their unofficial transcript to document UNM alumni status. Career Services offers professional career assessments that can be interpreted by a certified Career Development Facilitator or Career Counselor.
Please note - it is not recommended for high school students to complete the Myers Briggs Type Indicator or Strong Interest Inventory due to these assessments having greater reliability for individuals 18 years of age and older. High school studen

Mark Savickas is a prolific writer on careers development and often funnen representing ideas such as constructivism and narrative approaches to careers theory. Career Interviews as a Resource for Career Professionals

Do you want to help your clients learn more about a specific career? Not sure where to begin? You might think of turning to the Internet, where you will discover an abundance of career information, but finding an in-depth interview about a specific profession can be a challenge. This void is what inspired me to launch a series of in-depth video interviews with professionals currently working in their chosen field.
As an independent career service provider, I wanted to offer my clients more than just the typical statistics, data and brief job overview that generally appear on career websites, so I set out to do something about that void.
