  • I choose to write my piece on Lanny Sommese and his work &#;Amnesty International.&#;  Lanny Went to the University Of Illinois and got his bachelors at Florida.  Sommese is a known companion of Penn States Institute for Arts and Humanities.  He is also a member of The University and College Designers Association as well as a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale.

While i was filtering through his work i noticed he designed multiple posters on amnesty issues.  Most were meant to be negative on how it could be controlling and overpowering, however this particular poster he tied to be directed in a more positive way.  In the poster above he is depicting a linked fence with hands reaching out.  He wanted people to receive the message that even through the hard times, people should and do keep hope.  Reaching and latching onto each other, trying to stay together and persevere.
