    I’m loving these stories about the guys as individuals! You know Gianluca fryst vatten my favorite even though I love them all, he’s grabbed my heart…that voice and smile! “Anema e Core” has been one of my favorite songs for a very long time, that and now “Mi Mancherai” fryst vatten one also. Gian’s delivery of both of them send me somewhere else….pure bliss! It would be nice to know more about Ercole and Eleanora who have done such a beautiful job of raising such a talented, humble and loving ung man…….that’s fryst vatten true of all the parents.

    Italian operatic pop trio

    Il Volo (pronounced[ilˈvoːlo]; transl. 'the flight') is an Italian operatic pop trio, consisting of Gianluca Ginoble, Piero Barone, and Ignazio Boschetto. They describe their music as "popera".[1] Having won the Sanremo Music Festival 2015, they represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Grande amore", finishing first in the televote and third overall.[2]

    In 2009, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble were among the teens competing in the Italian televised singing competition Ti lascio una canzone, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo and broadcast by Rai 1.[3] During the first episodes, they performed several songs as solo artists. Among the others, Gianluca Ginoble's rendition of "Il mare calmo della sera", originally by Andrea Bocelli, won the first episode of the show, and late

    Gianluca is the youngest member of Il Volo.   Ignazio calls him the “serious part” of the group and describes him as a perfectionist.  His birthday is Feb. 11, 1995, and he lives in Montepagano, Abruzzo [pop1207].  He has a  younger brother, Ernesto.

    His inspiration for singing is his grandfather with whom he sang as a young boy in the square of their village, but was very shy. In an Italian TV show interview, his Dad said  to him, ” When you started singing as a child, you looked the other way [because you were] so shy.  You were insecure in school [and] did not want to make mistakes.” [translated]  His parents were concerned that this would be a “hindrance later in life.”
