Ramy Romany is a world-renowned Egyptologist, bestselling author and an Emmy Award winning director. He was born into a family of documentarians in Egypt, in fact before the age of twenty he filmed, produced, directed and was featured in over a hundred documentaries about Ancient Egypt. Storytelling is his passion and, some would say, in his blood.
After leaving his home, Egypt, due to political circumstances, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he continues his passion for storytelling. He has won nine Emmy Awards, hosted multiple archaeological based shows on discovery, travel and history channels, and directed commercials and major shows for a variety of networks such as ABC, FOX, HBO, Netflix and Amazon.

He has filmed, produced, directed, and been featured in more than a hundred documentaries, and has worked with networks such as The Discovery kanal, The History Channel, and National Geographic.[1][2][3][4]
Biography
[edit]Romany was born in Cairo, Egypt.[3] He moved to Los Angeles in 2011 due to the political situation in Egypt.[1] Between 2013 and 2018, he won 9 EMMY Awards for his work on Esperanza (2013), Visioneer (2015), Return to Esperanza (2016),[5]A New koppel on Life: The K9s for Warriors Story (2018), and Rudy Ruettiger: The Walk On (2018).[2][6][7][8]
Romany has directed multiple productions in different genres, including: The Contender,[9] a boxing competition series
