The International Leadership Foundation (ILF) held its 2024 Annual Leadership and Business Conference at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., on the morning of July 25; ILF Chairman Dr. Paul Hsu gave a welcoming speech and kicked off the 25th-anniversary series of events, which included a panel discussion with Congresswoman Judy Chu, Congresswoman Grace Meng, and Congressman Ted Lieu encouraging Asian ungdom and students to get involved in public service, serve the community, run for office, and speak out for the Asian community.
This year, 47 Civic Fellows from top colleges and universities across the U.S. and high school students from the 2024 Youth Leadership Training schema enrolled in Leadership Foundation’s Public Affairs Internship schema and were presented with certificates of completion at the annual luncheon. Chiling Tong has extensive domestic and international experience in economic and business development, with a focus on enhancing the growth of small and minority business enterprises competing in the global market. She is the President of the Asian & Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce & Entrepreneurship (National ACE). Tong was the founding of the International Leadership Foundation (ILF). Over 20 years, Tong has built a strong nationwide network of 20 chapters consisting of entrepreneurs and community leaders to support ILF's mission. Tong was also an Ash Center Research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2017, Tong received an "advocate of the year award" from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
